The 3rd Annual Fellows/Chief Residents Course, held February 21-23, 2020 at the Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC), is designed primarily for orthopedic fellows and chief residents to enhance skills in joint arthroscopy and open surgical techniques for the hip, knee, and shoulder. Afternoon and evening sessions include practice management, case discussions, and manufacturer demonstrations.<br /><br />Sunday provides CME sessions addressing roles of team physicians, fellowship involvement, board certification preparation, and advanced open surgical techniques with cadaveric labs and demonstrations, culminating in course adjournment at noon.<br /><br />Learning objectives center on mastering routine and advanced arthroscopic and open surgical methods, understanding practice management and office procedures, and making informed clinical decisions. The course awards up to 18.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, contributing to Maintenance of Certification requirements.<br /><br />Faculty include noted orthopedic surgeons and educators such as Denver T. Stanfield, M.D., Brian R. Waterman, M.D., and Jovan Laskovski, M.D., among many others. The course content was developed based on professional practice gaps and feedback to meet current orthopedic educational needs.
