Video Summary
Dr. Allahabadi's study evaluated how combined femoral and acetabular version abnormalities affect midterm outcomes after hip arthroscopy in 338 patients. Using CT-based measurements, patients were categorized by version: retroversion, anterversion, or normal. The study found that neither combined version nor individual femoral or acetabular version significantly impacted patient-reported outcomes (PROs), minimal clinically important difference (MCID), or patient-acceptable symptom state (PASS) rates over five years. Femoral version correlated more with combined version than acetabular version. Overall, version abnormalities did not influence midterm surgical outcomes in this non-dysplastic population. Further research will examine continuous modeling of version variables.
